Pop-Up Dinner: Wine Country

Table Design:
Siegel Satin Stripe Tablecloth / Burlap as table liner / Candleholder filled w/ sand and tea light
Centerpiece: Vase filled with water and citrus fruit / Wooded floral arrangement

Last weekend I went to the most amazing dinner party; a pop-up dinner party! A party where you design your own tables cape, bring your own food and drinks and invite your own friends! What type of party is this you ask?? It's Handmade Events pop-up dinner! Think of it as a fancy top notch reception but in the form of a picnic. They appear in about half a dozen cities across the nation to bring an incredibly magical night! They are just a few rules you'd must adhere to...First, fashion. You must bring your most fabulous All-White outfit! Whether it be a LWD, white denim to linen pants you'll want to dress your best to make a statement upon entry. Second, envision the most attractive table decor and bring it to life on your table. Think full and flourishing flowers, shiny silverware, luminous lighting to match your favorite theme. Lastly, conjure the most delectable dinner menu and bring starter, main and dessert course. Above are my favorite table designs along with my own with the help of great friends!

The secret location isn't announced until the day of the event. All we are provided is the city! It ended up being at Jack London Historic State Park. This was location was perfection. As you walk onto the property you are welcomed by hosted and greeted by the most beautiful stoned ruins. The backdrop are hills and ever-ending rows of vineyards. For a moment I felt like I was stepping in on a Tuscan countryside! There's much chatter and laughter as everyone prepares their tables to their liking. Once tables are set and food laid out, an acoustic guitarist serenades the large group as we wine and dine under the setting sun. It was so fantastic! Once everyones finish then the REAL fun begins...it's time to hit the dance floor! As much as I enjoyed the acoustic sounds I was very ready for the DJ to begin spinning on the turntables. People, music, dancing, lights, and stars. Variables that equate to a delightful evening. I am literally counting down to the Pop-up dinner in San Francisco. Now that I've had dinner in this format, I don't think I'll ever go back to traditional! Thank you Handmade Events! I shall see you again!

Till next time dolls!

It's Tuesday already! I still trying to get over the passing of such a quick weekend! The good thing is the weather was enjoyable then...now not so much. I'm glad I took advantage of it by wearing shorts! Something that's rare in SF when it's so early in the year. My solution to not falling into the 'It's getting cold' zone; boyfriend shorts! Believe it or not, its my first pair! I just didn't think my legs were shapely enough to pull it off. I'm convinced, anyone can rock a pair of boyfriend shorts!

Happy Sunday All! I hope everyone is having wonderful weekend so far! Today is a special post, this is my first joint blogger post and my girlfriend Lisa recently started a fashion blog that I'm excited to share; Haute Ashbury! I've known her for about 5 years through working at Wells Fargo and I've always been a little jealous of this gal, she's always so stinking cute and well put together! Just look at her, 5 months preggers and she's as edgy as any women I know! You must head over to her blog...it's different than most since she and another fashionista, Nahal, share their looks. It's pretty refreshing to see two fashion styles appearing daily on one blog. You'll probably want to check out where she copped her items from anyway. FYI- believe it or not, that dress is not maternity!

The beauty of wearing a super colorful skirt is the ability to wear a casual top and still look stylish and dressy enough for work. I tell you, chambray is probably one of my top staple pieces! You literally can pull off any look with it! Here are a few other great chambray and printed skirt combos!

Till next time dolls!
