Cold Stripes

Top: Anthroplogie Sunday in Brooklyn Scilla Top / Bottoms: DL1961 Emma

If only you knew the excitement I had anticipating my next trip. While escaping the plummeting temperatures at home I am finally able to escape to the beach! Not to mention it’s my first trip to Miami!! When I think of Miami I imagine endless palm trees, turquoise blue water, beautiful people and festive bars and restaurants door to door on the oceanfront. And boy was I right!

I hit the ground running as soon as I landed, checked in at the Redbury, dropped off luggage and walked directly to Lincoln Ave which is where all the shopping happens. As you can see from the pics, the bare lip needed a pop! I found a Bobbi Brown counter and picked up a chunky multi-purpose lip pencil! I've always been scared of orange on the lips so this orangey coral color was just right mix. I really like the way it pops against this fun cold shoulder strip top too. What's your go to pop of color?!

Crops and Florals

Top: ASTR Rosa Crop Top / Bottoms: Madewell Flea Market Denim
Sunnies: BR Margeaux Sunglasses / Handbag: Limited Fringe

I think it's really funny how growing up you always wondered what in the world your parent were thinking as far as fashion then you find yourself wearing the exact same thing! I never would have imagined rocking the same bell bottom pants my mom wore decades ago. The only upsetting part is she didn't retain her wardrobe for my wearing pleasure!

If your mom did the same disservice, don't fret, many of cute flare denim jeans out there!

Sun chaser

There's nothing more easy to put together than jeans in a white tank. Yes, simple but with the right pieces it can look stylishly chic! This look I paired a silky pocketed tank with a high waisted dark denim bottom. To show of the high waist I like to wear with a skinny belt, or not, while tucking in either the middle or one side of my top. What's your favorite way to wear a white top and jeans?? Here are my favorite white tops for Fall!

Nice Nice

Before visiting Nice I didn't know what to expect. I knew there would be fantastic seafood, great beach views, a plethora of outside dining options but I wasn't expected how incredible the views of the city were. The coast is actually very mountainous so any drive or bike ride up will leave you with 360 views of Nice! My friends and I ended up renting electric bikes. I've never even heard of such a thing! They are very cool, you hop on a modern spin of a bike, sleek black frame, wood grain details and a quiet hum sound coming from the power source. It came really came in handy when traveling up the steep roads heading to the top of the city! There were even openings on the road leading to gorgeous cliff views of the city! Highly recommend visiting Fort du Mont Alban for great views and tours of the monuments.

Hi Dolls! Hope everyone's week is going great so far! I took a stroll through Nob Hill and couldn't resist making the climb up to Grace Cathedral. I sometimes just setback and stare at buildings in the city in awe. No matter how many times I walk down the same street, take the same route to and from it's always like seeing it for the first time.

I look forward to sunny days, event a hint of sun is good enough for me. My favorite silhouette is sheath, they always seem to fit just right and I can seamlessly go from work to dinner. Throw on a chic moto jacket and my look is complete. The good thing about leather jackets is the ability to wear it throughout the year. Summer is practically here and I'm sure i'll get as much wear as this Spring! Here are a few that are on my radar!

Shades and Grey

Top: BR Popcorn stitch sweater (similar here and here) / Bottoms: Joe's Rolled Skinny Jeans
Shoes: Corso Como Patent Leather Pump
Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC / Sunnies: Ray Ban Aviator / Lips: NARS

So much for sunny skies in San Francisco! I do have no clue what it feels like to have true 'seasons' as we have one range of weather here all year round. With that, my fall/winter clothing stays hanging front and center right where I can see it! I actually enjoy wearing chunky sweaters and loose fitting jeans. I'm most comfortable wearing this but I try to keep my casual look more on the chic side by wearing heels...in this case, patent leather pumps!

Blazed Camel

Bottoms: Paige Jeans / Shoes: Kate Spade Licorice / Handbag: H&M / Necklace: J.Crew Bubble Necklace / Watch: Michael Kors Runway Watch / Lips: Stila Beso

I am most definitely a go-to jeans kind of gal and most times I like dress my denim up. Dressing up denim almost streamlines your events of the day by wearing one outfit! You can go from desk to dinner, meetings with clients to meetings up with friends or day date with mom to date night with your beau. One of the easiest ways I like to dress up a pair of jeans is with a blazer and a statement necklace! For this time of year, wool is best because of its thickness and warmth. And I find that wool blazers are incredibly easy to find! Step out of the norm and go for a pop of color or a neutral color over the traditional black blazer! The camel blazer I'm wearing effortlessly compliments the black and white combo!

Now if you frequent The Embellished Closet (thanks!! J) you may have noticed the Banana Republic Honeycomb blouse. I’m a huge advocator for mix and matching styles and pieces! The first time I wore was during the summer with a pair of boyfriend shorts and flat sneaks. If you missed, check it out! Finding simple pieces in forgiving materials allow for greater variety! I’m sure I’ll wear this top in a completely different look soon enough so stay tuned!

Now, back to the blazers. I found in a bunch of unique styles and colors I just had to share, which is your favorite??

Hi lovelies! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! This week I've been in the mood to switch things up from my typical black trousers and black blouse, tank, sweater, you name it! When I think of Fall I think of layers so styling myself with a vest was a no brainer! I like that vests give you many looks depending on which top is worn and can easily transition from casual to edgy in an instant!

Leaning more towards edgy, leather is the perfect staple. What makes these Banana leggings great is the mixed material; leather on the front, stretchy cotton on the back! These are one of those universal bottoms that will fit any size and shape, petite, curvy, boyish, or tall! And since they're ankle length you can strut in any shoe and they be completely visible! I decided on the burgundy suede Adelia's to contrast the olive green vest. Unfortunately, this BR vest is sold out but I've found a number that will look killer!

So Distressed

Photos by: Larry Wong

Sweater: Max Studio (similar here and here) / Top: Theory Leen Tank (on sale!)

Hi Dolls! Happy Friday! I don't know about you but I'm so stoked Fall is here...and Friday! I'm working my way step by step to break away from summery items. The solution...spaghetti straps and chunky cardigans! It's where I find that happy medium. Or maybe it's just my way not not being able to completely let go of Summer! When the afternoon sun is at it's peak I can go bare armed around town...the second that bay breeze rushes in I'm ready!

I'm wearing a Theory tank I located online at Shopbop! I love that they have the 'heart it' feature so if your favorite item gets marked down, you'll be the first to know! It's totally worth diving through the site to pick out your favorites and let ShopBop do the rest! Distressed jeans have because a regular for me recently. My favorite thing to pair distressed skinnies with are comfy tops and chunky cardigans. Unfortunately, there aren't enough casual Friday's in the week for me to wear them more often! Till next time, here are some more chunky cuties that'll keep you cozy this Fall!

Lace Reflections

Photos by: Larry Wong

Blazer: BR Lightweight Wool Blazer / Top: Topshop Surplice Blouse / Skirt: BR Lace Pencil Skirt (Similar here, on sale!) / Shoes: SM Stecy Sandal (blush) / Watch: Michael Kors Runway (on sale!)

Hi lovelies! I hope everyone is having a great week! The weekend will be here before we know it! When it comes to dressing for work, especially the office, you don't have to compromise your style. Today I decided on a crisp white lace skirt. It could easily look a bit on the dressy side due to it's fit so I paired with a wool blazer to pull of a more professional look. My work style motto: Make everyday desk to dinner!

Here are other great lace skirts out there! Check out BR, they've got a few currently marked down!
Till next time...Ciao!
