Hi dolls! I hope everyone is having a great week so far! My days in Stockholm seem to burn like wildfire. I'm happy I've been making the most out of my days, not too many mornings sleeping in...which is rare for me!

I'm most comfortable when I'm laced head to toe in denim. I think the denim on denim combination is a simple way to pull of an effortless chic look. What was most useful in my case was having an extra layer of armor to shield me from the cold brisk air! Layering my J.Crew Keeper Chambray with a sweatshirt was a no brainer. Believe me, after walking about town for hours especially after sunset at times became almost unbearable! My days are here are limited so there was no way I was calling it quits. Spending the evening on a guided tour through Gamla Stan, learning about Sweden's history AND drinking the best cup of hot chocolate ever created made me quickly forget about the teeth chattering sessions. Stockholm is proving to be one of my favorite cities!

Till next time!

GRAPHIC FLORALS

Images by Scott Kong

Jacket: H&M Blazer / Top: J.Crew Foral Graphic Linen Tee / Skirt: BR (identical here and here)
Shoes: Tibi Amber Heels (similar here) / Handbag: Milly Astor / Lips: NARS Palais Royal

Is it Monday or Tuesday?? Hope everyone had a great 3-day weekend! The extra day on the weekend is JUST what I needed for a fresh start to the work week. And since I am in a slightly better mood than usual, I thought I'd have some fun to my usual office outfit. I would normally wear a collar button up or sweater with a feminine pleated skirt like this, but T's are just so much more exciting!

The key to mixing casual with dressy is selecting a fitted top so that it can easily be tucked in without any bulge. A nice colorful or vivid color print brings a simple skirt or bottom together amazingly! To add more glam to the look, a handbag with a pop of color is the way to go. Accessories are everything!! The Milly crossbody bag I've got here is one of my new favorite items. I'm more on the conservative side when it comes to colors but I am not afraid to rock this neon beaut!

I'd love to see how you fashionistas wear your T-shirts to work or on a night out. Please share!
Till next time :-)

STRIPED SILHOUETTE

Photos by: Larry Wong

Top: ASOS (old, similar here or wear as a shirt here) / Skirt: H&M Striped Skirt / Shoes: Zara Ankle Strap heel (on sale!! Love in red) / Handbag: H&M (old) / Earrings: J.Crew / Lips: Stila Guava

Hi all! Hope you are all having a wonderful week thus far! It's that busy time of the month for me so things have been pretty hectic at work! But that doesn't mean I can't take the time to dress for a night out ;-)

I found this striped skirt at H&M and I was really surprised with the quality! The fabric and design was executed very well. Warning. It's pretty short for a gal 5'7" or taller! It was a bit short for what I'm used to but didn't feel too bad since it has a flare fit. That actually is my favorite part of the skirt, it's just darling! And the heels I happened to pick up just recently in the clearance section at Zara. So if there's on in your neighborhood, I'd rush over there FAST! I love finding a good bargain, doesn't it make you feel so proud when you save yourself a few extra bucks?? This entire outfit cost me under $100 dollars. Score!

Stripes might just be my new obsession. Here are some other striped selections I've spotted.

Till next time!
XOXO

TOUCH OF LACE

Jacket: Banana Republic blazer / Shirt: Express (dress version here)/ Bottoms: Zara
Bag: Kate Spade Cobble Hill Bag / Shoes: AV (on sale!) / Nude Lips: Stila Cosmetics (Maya)

I've finally come down from the shades of blue high I've been on the past few days. One day I wore a royal blue I guess you'd call it, another turquoise, then back to cobalt. WTH? Lol You know what that means...Back to Black!

I thought I'd add a bit more texture with today's look by wearing leather and lace with my belted trouser. Lace can be very sexy especially for work so I toned it down by wearing a high-waisted pant, less lace showing, and of course a black tank underneath the top. Now if it was a night out, all rules go out the window ;-)  This particular lace top, from Express, is tasteful either way because it isn't tight fitting at all. I know it's hard to tell because it's tucked it. But it actually has a boxy trapeze like shape when out. I bought it one size too big because I wanted the fit to be a bit loose. I almost bought two sizes larger but changed my mind...what I envisioned was wearing the top with leggings or super skinny jeans. I decided not to because then it would look too oversized to wear with an outfit like this!

Here are some other lovely lace tops I'm eyeing. Enjoy!

Shoes: Enzo (similar here) / Necklace: Anthropologie Waxing Flicker Necklace / Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Swing bag

Hiya! Hope everyone's week is going well thus far! I've had a super crazy week so far... and it doesn't help that I think I'm coming down with something :-/ I work with financial planning systems and we are going under a major migration to the latest release of an application called Dodeca. I will be pretty busy over the next few weeks preparing, developing, testing but I will not, I repeat, will NOT let it get between my fashion posts :-)

Today I'm wearing a steal I nabbed from Macy's. This Rachel Roy color block jacket was on sale and the total cost was under $100 bucks! Unfortunately, it's sold out at Macy's but I found a few available on eBay! It's available in a size 0size 4, size 6 and a size 8. I've been seeing color blocking everywhere, jackets, handbags, dresses, shoes...and I love every ounce of it, the more contrast the better!

Here are some of my favorite color block items...

Thanks for stopping by!

BACK TO BLACK

Shoes: Nine West (old, similar splurge and steal) / Necklace: Anthropologie (on sale!) / Watch: Michael Kors

The rain has finally reached the West Coast! It's about time...Rain, oh how I've missed you! I'm not huge on being out and about when it rains but I must say, I'm happy to be lavished with the fresh water saturated air. You know that feeling of being ill and after recovering finally be able to effortlessly breath without labor? It's that feeling. It feels wonderful :-) And for this special occasion I'm wearing my favorite color to rock...black! Not only that but I'm playing with a few different fabrics: leather, suede, wool and polyester.

Enjoy...and stay dry! ;-)

WRAPPED IN OXBLOOD

Images by Scott Kong

Jacket: Banana Republic (old) / Top: Rachel Roy / Skirt: Ann Taylor / Shoes: Kate Spade Licorice

I have to admit, I might just work in one of the best buildings located in FiDi. Not only am I walking distance to SOMA, Union Square, North Beach and the Embarcadero, our building has this gorgeous rooftop garden. Many folks in the area come here to dine or just to enjoy the view. I really enjoy the floral garden getaway!

One of my favorite bold colors, if you consider it bold, is Oxblood (or vamp blood if that's your thing)! I'm drawn to anything darker than my favorite vino ;-) There's something regal, mysterious and alluring about this color! When I saw this wool wrap trench at Banana Republic it was a no brainer. I got it a few seasons ago but there are tons of great options out there, a few here and here. Today I paired my wool coat with a Rachel Roy black lace button up top. What won me over was the extended lace material over the hand and the meticulously placed dark oxblood colored buttons. So many of my favorite little things rolled up into one top!
