Musée Style

Scarf/Top: Mango Printed Scarf (similar here and here) / Bottoms: Elevenses Wideleg Pants
Hat: J.Crew Panama Hat / Bag: Target Reversible Tote Bag

Anyone that knows me well knows that I'm a sucker for history and historical archeology. So when I found out about a museum on an old Roman city I was all over it! There are a handful of museums in Nice and with the purchase of a day museum pass you have access to all of the museums for under $20! The first stop was the Matisse Museum. Much of the museum featured cut-outs that Matisse kept over the decades in his home, projects he started on and sketches with structural renderings built out. Right next door is the Archeological Museum built on the city which used to be called Cemenelum! For centuries it was a Roman city and capital that was the meeting place for city officials and politicians. Here was a large market area, Roman Baths and rooms where political transactions occurred. It was such a treat to walk through the ruins envisioning people walking about thousands of years ago. What were the people like, what kinds of conversations did they have, more importantly, what did they WEAR?! :-)

I am wearing what's featured on a few posts back on the beach, So Bleu. Only difference, I've got a makeshift top using a printed scarf I found in Paris! It was the perfect day for the beach and museum exploring.

Rosy Red

One of the best things about summer are fun summer dresses. I've never been a huge maxi dress wearer, not that I don't think they're cute but the weather doesn't usually call for one living in the Bay. So the moment a vacation comes my way I'm in search of a great one!

There are a handful of stores I turn to for really interesting and fun pieces. In this case, ASOS was the winner final contender! I love super deep cut in the front, it's got a subtle sexiness to it. The wide flowy and pleated dress balances it out giving a super chic look. I'm totally going to rock this one with a black turtleneck come Fall!

Crop and Dame

Top: Tularosa Crop Top (same print here) / Bottoms: Madewell Flea Market Flare (on sale!)
Sunnies: J.Crew Betty Sunglasses / Booties: VS / Handbag: Rebecca Minkoff 'Love' Bag

Hello there everyone! I don't know about you but I'm getting a little bummed about the end of summer approaching! You know what that means, that leaves about another month to flaunt all the crop tops your heart desires! My favorite thing to pair crop tops with is high waisted skirts and flare or wide-leg jeans. I've selected a number of crops I think are incredibly cute below!

This day we walked over to Notre Dame. I think I've developed a strong taste for anything containing gargoyles in some shape or form...I just couldn't keep my eyes off this cathedral! Hope you enjoy the pics and these cute crop tops below, all of which are on sale!

Blue Lagooning

Swimsuit: MasiMiele Lace-up Swimsuit (Splurge) / / Eyewear: J.Crew Betty Sunglasses
Headscarf: Target  / Lips: Stila Beso

Hi Dolls! Today has been such a wonderful delight! As soon as we landed we headed straight to our first destination, the Blue Lagoon! I've heard tons about the place and it's as amazing as everyone says. When you first walk onto the establishment all you see is a volcanic rock pathway leading to The Blue Lagoon! We first checked in our luggage and continued down a narrow path to the facility to get our electronic wristbands. I recommend purchasing ahead of time to secure a good time. If you plan on staying to dine I would get the package that comes with a Lava Restaurant reservation and a glass of bubbly! Once me and the girls got suited up we opened the doors and were immediately blown away by the site! Ice blue steamy water spilling into different bridges and paths of volcanic rock.  You can't help but feel at peace with the calm and tranquility of the landscape.

What I didn't expect to receive was a skin makeover! I learned the water containing many minerals and scillia has many self healing and rejuvenating elements. We kicked it up a notch by going to the mud mask station and dousing ourselves of the pure white mud. I kid you not, my face and skin felt soft and clear for at least a week! What's even better, the mask is available for purchase online!

Blazed Camel

Top: BR Honeycomb Blouse / Blazer: BR Blazer, similar J.Crew Regent Blazer (on sale!)
Bottoms: Paige Jeans / Shoes: Kate Spade Licorice / Handbag: H&M / Necklace: J.Crew Bubble Necklace / Watch: Michael Kors Runway Watch / Lips: Stila Beso

I am most definitely a go-to jeans kind of gal and most times I like dress my denim up. Dressing up denim almost streamlines your events of the day by wearing one outfit! You can go from desk to dinner, meetings with clients to meetings up with friends or day date with mom to date night with your beau. One of the easiest ways I like to dress up a pair of jeans is with a blazer and a statement necklace! For this time of year, wool is best because of its thickness and warmth. And I find that wool blazers are incredibly easy to find! Step out of the norm and go for a pop of color or a neutral color over the traditional black blazer! The camel blazer I'm wearing effortlessly compliments the black and white combo!

Now if you frequent The Embellished Closet (thanks!! J) you may have noticed the Banana Republic Honeycomb blouse. I’m a huge advocator for mix and matching styles and pieces! The first time I wore was during the summer with a pair of boyfriend shorts and flat sneaks. If you missed, check it out! Finding simple pieces in forgiving materials allow for greater variety! I’m sure I’ll wear this top in a completely different look soon enough so stay tuned!

Now, back to the blazers. I found in a bunch of unique styles and colors I just had to share, which is your favorite??

Vesting It

Shirt: J.Crew Endless Stripe Shirt / Vest: Banana Republic Utility Vest (similar here and here)
Bottoms: Banana Republic Sloan Leather Pant / Shoes: BR Adelia D'Orsay Pump
Sunnies: Ray Ban Classic Aviators / Bag: Asos / Lips: Nars Matte Lip Train Bleu

Hi lovelies! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far! This week I've been in the mood to switch things up from my typical black trousers and black blouse, tank, sweater, you name it! When I think of Fall I think of layers so styling myself with a vest was a no brainer! I like that vests give you many looks depending on which top is worn and can easily transition from casual to edgy in an instant!

Leaning more towards edgy, leather is the perfect staple. What makes these Banana leggings great is the mixed material; leather on the front, stretchy cotton on the back! These are one of those universal bottoms that will fit any size and shape, petite, curvy, boyish, or tall! And since they're ankle length you can strut in any shoe and they be completely visible! I decided on the burgundy suede Adelia's to contrast the olive green vest. Unfortunately, this BR vest is sold out but I've found a number that will look killer!

It's Tuesday already! I still trying to get over the passing of such a quick weekend! The good thing is the weather was enjoyable then...now not so much. I'm glad I took advantage of it by wearing shorts! Something that's rare in SF when it's so early in the year. My solution to not falling into the 'It's getting cold' zone; boyfriend shorts! Believe it or not, its my first pair! I just didn't think my legs were shapely enough to pull it off. I'm convinced, anyone can rock a pair of boyfriend shorts!

Fashion Duo

Top: J.Crew Keeper Chambray / Skirt: Leifsdottir Striped Jade Skirt (on sale!) / Necklace: Anthro
Shoes: Kate Spade Licorice (on sale!) / Lips: Nars / Sunnies: Super America Sunglasses

Happy Sunday All! I hope everyone is having wonderful weekend so far! Today is a special post, this is my first joint blogger post and my girlfriend Lisa recently started a fashion blog that I'm excited to share; Haute Ashbury! I've known her for about 5 years through working at Wells Fargo and I've always been a little jealous of this gal, she's always so stinking cute and well put together! Just look at her, 5 months preggers and she's as edgy as any women I know! You must head over to her blog...it's different than most since she and another fashionista, Nahal, share their looks. It's pretty refreshing to see two fashion styles appearing daily on one blog. You'll probably want to check out where she copped her items from anyway. FYI- believe it or not, that dress is not maternity!

The beauty of wearing a super colorful skirt is the ability to wear a casual top and still look stylish and dressy enough for work. I tell you, chambray is probably one of my top staple pieces! You literally can pull off any look with it! Here are a few other great chambray and printed skirt combos!

Till next time dolls!
